The African Union – European Union (AU-EU) Digital for Development (D4D) Hub is facilitating the first Africa-Europe D4D Hub Multi-Stakeholder Forum (MSF) with the aim of promoting dialogue and collaboration between African and European D4D actors. Co-hosted by the African Union and the European Union, the forum aims to ensure that all D4D stakeholders (private sector, governments, academia, and civil society) contribute to joint AU-EU efforts to build an inclusive digital economy and society that leaves no one behind.

The Africa-Europe D4D Hub Multi-Stakeholder Forum is taking place in the lead-up to the Africa-Europe Week, to be held on 14-18 February 2022, which will feature a rich series of hybrid and online events with civil society, youth and other key actors of Africa-Europe relations. The EU-Africa Business Forum and the EU-AU Summit will also take place during this week.

Digital cooperation will take a central role in the agenda of these events, in line with the Global Gateway, the new EU strategy to boost sustainable and trusted connections with the world, as well as the Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa.
